Welcome to Acorns Day Nursery!

Located in Sevenoaks, Kent we are friendly and nurturing day nursery providing childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years old. We give children a safe place to develop, learn and grow. Our care is individual as each age group has their own dedicated room. Our Sevenoaks Day Nursery offers year-round nursery care with both full-time and part-time places available. Our friendly team support families and their children in the local community by providing a home from home environment.

Year-Round Nursery Support

Our nursery is open Monday to Friday and only closed on bank holidays and in-between Christmas and New Year.

We have a dedicated team of qualified nursery officers who each have a genuine passion for childcare. We maintain a high level of care and education for your children. Every member of our nursery officer team carry a Paediatric First Aid qualification and regularly receive relevant additional training, which can even include degree level qualifications. In our care each child is given constant encouragement with every member of our team bringing a breadth of childcare knowledge and experience.

Nurturing Care

Situated within a spacious, enclosed garden, Acorns Day Nursery is located in the grounds of Sevenoaks Primary School. At our nursery the children enjoy the freedom to run, slide and climb on our lovely equipment - we have climbing frames, swings, climbing ropes and balance beams for the children to choose from. Our garden is positioned under a canopy of mature trees - providing shade in the summer and autumn fun when the leaves begin to fall.

Inside our Nursery

Each room in Acorns Day Nursery is designed and furnished with the intention of providing specific age related learning materials and activities to encourage the children's development. Our rooms are divide into four ages, which are: the Baby Room for 6 months - 18 months, the Chipmunks Room for 18 months - 2 years, the Badgers Room for 2 years - 3 years and the Foxes Room for 3 years plus. Our nursery provides care to children for a range of ages, including pre school age. We ensure all rooms enjoy time in our stunning garden and we allow the older children to enjoy ‘free flow’ access during their nursery day.

Fees and Funding

Our daily fee includes morning snack, hot lunch, snack tea and all drinks. Contact our nursery manager Joanne Luffman-Cook for information on our fees and funding options.

Thank you for everything you’ve done over the years – we hugely appreciate it. Both our children had a lot of fun here and will leave extremely well set up for school. We will miss you.

The Early Years Foundation Stage

The Early Years curriculum sets the standard for all early year providers, including nurseries. Acorns Day Nursery ensures that all children develop inline with the guidelines set out by The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We keep the children safe and healthy at all times.
